Sophisticated Systems follows a specific policy and procedure for its application, interview, and hiring process. Who is a Sophisticated Systems applicant? A candidate is considered an applicant when Sophisticated Systems has received a resume and a completed employee application from the candidate. A valid candidate will be determined by one of the following:
  • A resume sent in response to any posted ad (newspaper, trade journal, internet posting, etc.) that meets the minimum required qualifications (education level, years of professional experience, skills, etc.).
  • All employee referrals.
  • Resumes received at job fairs and campus recruiting will only be considered "valid" if they meet the minimum required qualifications, as stated, for the job fair or campus recruiting.
  • Walk-ins, cold-call candidates, candidates located through searching the internet, or any other unsolicited candidates/resumes, will not be considered applicants unless the candidate's qualifications match a current open position and an employee application is sent to the candidate and the employee application is completed and returned with a current resume.


Interviewing/Hiring Procedure for Consultants

After completing an employee application, the applicant will be interviewed (telephone and/or personal) by a Sophisticated Systems Recruiter. Having completed the interview and determining mutual continued interest and a potential open position, the applicant will have a second (usually personal) interview with a Service Delivery Manager, Account Executive, and/or other Manager. For technical positions, the applicant should expect a technical interview as well.
This may be done by Sophisticated Systems personnel or will be conducted by a Sophisticated Systems consultant. Any test administered or technical interview performed will be used to identify an applicant's strengths and weaknesses and will not be used solely to disqualify the candidate.

After Sophisticated Systems determines that the applicant is qualified for a current customer requirement, Sophisticated Systems may submit the applicant to our customer(s) for appropriate consulting positions. Customer interviews (telephone and/or personal) may be required as determined by the customer and Sophisticated Systems. We may not extend an offer of employment to the applicant until the customer has accepted the applicant for an assignment with the customer.

When an offer of employment is extended, Sophisticated Systems will provide the applicant with the necessary forms and locations for completing a drug-screening test. This must be completed within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving these forms. Three professional references (provided on the employee application) may be contacted. The applicant will receive a written offer letter, which the applicant must sign and return.

Conditions of employment:
  • Fully completed and signed employee application and related forms.
  • Confirmed start date.
  • Successfully completed drug-screen.
  • Successfully completed background-check.
  • Three favorable professional references.
Resumes of applicants not hired will be kept on file for up to one year. Sophisticated Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
